The Grape Kool-Aid Experience
The Grape Kool-Aid Experience, started in 2004, is an electronic project (lead by the eccentric Mr. Grape) that mixes and then crosses the boundries of hip-hop, rock and electronica in order to form a unique, genre blending mix of music known as "Nu-Pop".
Influenced by the electro-punk of Mindless Self Indulgence, and the style hopping of Mike Patton (not to mention other musical pioneers, from Aphex Twin to Kool Keith), The Grape Kool-Aid Experience is inspired by the evolution of music, and the need to constantly create in different directions.
With the release of "Heteromorphic", and after recently working with artists such as Circus Of Dead Squirrels (on their latest remix album, "Outdoor Recess"), The Grape Kool-Aid Experience is now gearing up to re-release it's entire back catalog, and move forward with new material, new collaborations, and many new remixes.
Outside of music (as of July 8th) Mr. Grape is now also running his own weekly electro show, dedicated to giving exposure to fellow electro-weird artists, known as The Rainbow Family Podcast.
